A winery from 45 villages
Vignerons de la Vicomté is an association of wine producers from more than 45 villages in the Languedoc region of southern France. The Vignerons de la Vicomté vineyard covers an impressive 8,000 hectares and stretches over the valley of the Hérault region, which is surrounded by rolling hills. The river Hérault, which runs through this so-called "Golden Valley", provides an ideal balance of heat during the very hot, dry summers, so that a large number of grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Clairette, Cinsault, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon can grow here.
The calcareous clayey and slippery soils offer the vines good conditions to develop individually tasting fruits, which make the wines of Vignerons de la Vicomté very versatile: from strong, generous and rich wines to wines that are rather subtle and very elegant, Vignerons de la Vicomté awaits.
The producer profits from traditional wine-knowledge and combines this knowledge with modern wine-growing techniques.
