The elegant Vin Santo Di Gambellara from the house of Vignato Virgilio flows into the glass with bright platinum yellow. This varietal Italian wine shows in the glass wonderfully expressive notes of peach, lemon, mirabelle plum and apple. In addition, hints of chamomile.
This wine tastes pleasantly dry. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. Here it is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Italian enchants naturally with all dryness with the finest balance. Excellent taste does not necessarily need sugar. On the tongue, this balanced white wine is characterized by an incredibly fleshy and crisp texture. In the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region of Veneto finally inspires with beautiful length. Again, hints of fig and dried apricot appear. In the reverberation, mineral notes of the soils dominated by volcanic rock are added.
Vinification of Vin Santo Di Gambellara by Vignato Virgilio
The balanced Vin Santo Di Gambellara from Italy is a single-vineyard wine, vinified from the grape variety Garganega. In Veneto, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of volcanic rock. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.
