The Viña Collada Rioja from the pen of Marqués de Riscal from La Rioja reveals a dense ruby color in the wine glass. Tilting the glass a bit, a transition of the hue towards garnet red can be seen at the edges. This single varietal Spanish wine reveals wonderfully expressive notes of plums, black currants, blueberries and mulberries in the glass. These are joined by hints of cinnamon, black tea and vanilla.
The Marqués de Riscal Viña Collada Rioja presents itself to the wine enthusiast wonderfully dry. This red wine never shows itself coarse or meager, but round and smooth. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully velvety. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Viña Collada Rioja flatters with a soft palate feeling, without lacking juicy liveliness. The final of this mature red wine from the wine-growing region of La Rioja, more precisely from the Rioja DOCa, finally convinces with considerable reverberation. Vinification of the Marqués de Riscal Viña Collada Rioja
This powerful red wine from Spain is vinified vegan from the Tempranillo grape variety. In La Rioja, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone. After the manual harvest, the grapes reach the press house in the fastest way. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn off.
