In the past, Mallorca was a thriving winegrowing area, but in 1901 phylloxera destroyed the entire vine population. Since then, wine from Mallorca is a rarity.
Vinyes Mortitx is a small family vineyard with 16 hectares. The vineyards of Mortitx lie in the unique landscape of the "Serra de Tramuntana". Just 400 meters above sea level, you are framed by barren cliffs. This exclusive location gives the wines the unique expression of the terroir on which they grow.
The grapes are picked by hand. After a cooled fermentation, the wines mature in an old cellar vault. With perfect temperatures and the right humidity, you will get your final touch there.
