The Viognier from the wine-growing region of the Languedoc appears in the glass in brilliant shimmering golden yellow. The first nose of Viognier shows nuances of gallia melon, star fruit and papaya. The fruity aspects of the bouquet are joined by lovage, juniper and Mediterranean herbs.
The Domaine Montrose Viognier presents itself wonderfully dry to the wine enthusiast. This white wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. On the tongue, this light-footed white wine is characterized by an incredibly light texture. In the finish, this youthful from the wine-growing region of the Languedoc finally inspires with good length. Once again, hints of guava and Gallia melon show through.
Vinification of the Viognier from Domaine Montrose
This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Viognier. Only the best grape material was used for this exceptionally elegant varietal wine from Domaine Montrose. After the hand harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
