Viognier Terroir d'Altitude 2017 - Fortant de France

The Viognier Pays d'OC IGP Terroir de Collines from Fortant de France shines in the glass in a buttercup yellow and unfolds a complex bouquet with the aromas of apricot, vine flowers and tropical fruits.

This white wine from the Languedoc presents on the palate rich, supple and soft with notes of tropical fruits, which linger long.

Vinification for the Viognier Terroir de Collines of Fortant de France

After the harvest, the grapes for this varietal Viognier receive a special treatment: they are carefully destemmed, the pressure increases gradually and the must is regularly brought into contact with the sediment over a period of 2 days. This ensures that the aromatic potential of the grapes is fully exploited. The musts from the individual layers are then vinified separately and aged in French oak barrels to make them even richer and smoother. All fermentation processes are carried out at low temperatures so that no flavorings are lost and the wine maintains its freshness.

The 6-month expansion takes place on the yeast, which is stirred up regularly. Afterwards, the base wines are tasted and combined to a varietal cuvée.
