More information
In the glass, the Viognier Reserve from the pen of Philipp Kuhn reveals a bright golden yellow color. After the first swirl, one can perceive a perfect balance in this white wine, as it stands out on the glass walls neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like. With a little time in the glass, this white wine from Germany reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of quince, apple, pear and pomelo, rounded out by gingerbread spice, cocoa bean and oak.
The Philipp Kuhn Viognier Reserve presents itself to the wine drinker wonderfully dry. This white wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. Balanced and complex, this crisp white wine presents itself on the palate. Due to its lively fruit acidity, the Viognier Reserve is exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. The finale of this white wine with good aging potential from the wine-growing region of Palatinate, more precisely from Laumersheim, finally impresses with a beautiful finish.
Vinification of the Philipp Kuhn Viognier Reserve
The basis for the balanced Viognier Reserve from the Palatinate are grapes from the grape variety Viognier. The grapes for this white wine from Germany are harvested exclusively by hand at the time of optimal ripeness. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly transferred to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully ground. This is followed by fermentation at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by maturation.
Food recommendation for Philipp Kuhn Viognier Reserve
This German wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to cod with cucumber-mustard vegetables, leek tortilla or pasta with sausage dumplings.
