New name with proven quality
The Vite Colte winery was launched in January 2016. The aim is to bring together all the wines from the Terre da Vino quality project under a new name. The Terre da Vino winery was founded in 1980 with the aim of producing DOC and DOCG quality wines from the PIEMONT. Terre da Vino - initially a collection basin for the yields of small Piedmontese winegrowers - has developed over the years into one of the most prestigious co-operative wineries in the region.
Vite Colte is the "flagship" of Terre da Vino. 300 winegrowers with a total area under vines of 180 hectares have qualified for the project. Only high quality DOC and DOCG wines are produced. This is achieved in the vineyards by keeping yields low, rigorous selection at harvest and the absence of chemical treatment.
Large cellar, great taste
The winery has invested a lot in the cellar and vineyards in recent years. The flagship of the new cellar complex built in 2010 by Gianni Arnaudo on the border between the Cannubi and Brunate sites is the very spacious ageing cellar. Up to 2,000 large oak barrels have the optimal capacity for a long storage of noble Barolo wines. In the cellar there are fully thermoconditioned steel tanks which are controlled by computer. An internal laboratory carries out quality control during vinification and bottling.
Award-winning wines - internationally renowned
With the oenologist Bruno Cordero and the agronomist Daniele Eberle, Vite Colte and its associated wineries have two proven experts at their disposal. Deservedly, some labels have earned a reputation that extends beyond national borders. The prices of the wines marketed by Terre da Vino are considered extremely attractive and the increasingly high ratings awarded by renowned critics over the past few years are an impressive confirmation of the winery's chosen path.
