In the glass, the Vuillermin of La Vrille presents a bright ruby color. To the nose, this La Vrille red wine presents all sorts of raspberries, lemons and oranges. As if that were not already impressive, further aromas such as lime are added by the expansion in the large wooden barrel.
On the palate, the Vuillermin of La Vrille starts wonderfully aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. Balanced and complex, this velvety, fleshy and dense red wine presents itself on the palate. Finally, on the finish, this wine from the wine-growing region of Valle d'Aosta delights with beautiful length. There are again hints of lemon and orange. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the sand-dominated soils are still added.
Vinification of La Vrille Vuillermin
This balanced red wine from Italy is made from the grape variety Vuillermin. The grapes grow in optimal conditions in the Aosta Valley. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils made of sand. After the grape harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks and large wood at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the elegant Vuillermin is aged for 33 months in oak barrels. The expansion in oak barrels is followed by another long bottle aging, which makes this red wine even more complex.
Recommendation for the Vuillermin from La Vrille
This red wine from Italy is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to lamb stew with chickpeas and dried figs, stuffed peppers or roasted calf's liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce
