In the glass, the organically produced Sauvignon Blanc from Wagner-Stempel shows a bright pale yellow color. Swiveling the glass, one can perceive a perfect balance in this white wine, as it stands out on the glass walls neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like. The nose of this white wine from Rheinhessen convinces with nuances of pomelo, lemongrass, grapefruit and grapefruit. If we trace the aromatics further, green peppers, juniper and Mediterranean herbs are added.

This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 1.6 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in this price range, this German wine naturally enraptures with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily need a lot of sugar. Vinification of the Sauvignon Blanc from Wagner-Stempel

The basis for the balanced Sauvignon Blanc from Germany are grapes from the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Rheinhessen. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay, sand and weathered rock. Clearly, the Sauvignon Blanc is also determined by climate and viticultural style Siefersheim. This German wine can be described as an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, presenting itself as extraordinarily fragrant. When perfectly ripe, the grapes for Sauvignon Blanc are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective machines. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off. Once the wine is finished, the Sauvignon Blanc is carefully dealcoholized.

Food recommendation for the Sauvignon Blanc from Wagner-Stempel

This German wine is best enjoyed very well chilled at 5 - 7°C. It is perfect as a companion to potato pan with salmon, pasta with sausage dumplings or vegetable stew with pesto.
