With the winery Pfaffl Wald St. Laurent comes a first-class red wine in the wine glass. In this it shows a wonderfully brilliant, bright red color. This single-varietal Austrian wine reveals wonderfully expressive notes of morello cherries, mulberries, blueberries and blackberries in the glass. These are joined by hints of cinnamon, dark chocolate and gingerbread spice.

On the palate, the Wald St. Laurent from Weingut Pfaffl opens pleasantly aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. On the palate, the texture of this light-bodied red wine presents itself wonderfully velvety. Due to its concise fruit acidity, the forest St. Laurent presents itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. The final of this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of Weinviertel finally impresses with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by loess.

Vinification of the winery Pfaffl Wald St. Laurent

This red wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Saint Laurent. Only the best grape material was used for this exceptionally elegant single-varietal wine from Weingut Pfaffl. In the Weinviertel, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of loess. After the hand harvest, the grapes quickly reach the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.

Food recommendation for the winery Pfaffl Wald St. Laurent

This red wine from Austria is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to boeuf bourguignon, spinach gratin with almonds or vegetable couscous with beef meatballs.
