More information about Wawern Goldberg Riesling trocken GG - Van Volxem

In the glass, the Wawern Goldberg Riesling GG from Van Volxem offers a brilliant shimmering light yellow color. In the center, this white wine shows a beautiful golden yellow color. If you give it some air in the wine glass by swirling it, this white wine is characterized by a fascinating brilliance that makes it dance peppy in the glass. The bouquet of this white wine from the Moselle region delights with notes of apricot, nashi pear, pear and lime. If we trace the aromatics further, forest floor and sun-warmed rock come into play.

The Van Volxem Wawern Goldberg Riesling GG presents itself pleasantly dry to the connoisseur. This white wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. On the tongue, this light-footed white wine is characterized by a tremendously silky texture. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Wawern Goldberg Riesling GG reveals itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this good storable from the winegrowing region of the Mosel finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of quince and nashi pear show. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by slate and volcanic rock join in.

Vinification of the Wawern Goldberg Riesling GG from Van Volxem

The basis for the elegant Wawern Goldberg Riesling GG from the Mosel are grapes from the Riesling grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions on the Mosel. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of slate and volcanic rock. Clearly, the Wawern Goldberg Riesling GG is also determined by climatic and stylistic factors Wiltingen. This German wine can be described in the best sense of the word as a wine of the Old World, which presents itself exceptionally impressive. The fact that the Riesling grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate also has a very high influence on the ripening of the vintage. This manifests itself, among other things, in particularly long and uniform grapes and rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. The berries for this white wine from Germany are harvested exclusively by hand when they are perfectly ripe. After the hand harvest, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. After its end, the Wawern Goldberg Riesling GG is aged for another 10 months in large oak barrels.

Food recommendation for the Wawern Goldberg Riesling GG from Van Volxem

Drink this white wine from Germany best well chilled at 8 - 10°C as an accompanying wine to leek tortilla, vegetable salad with beetroot or omelet with salmon and fennel.
