The vine-growing tradition of the house Lergenmüller goes back to 1538 and is located in the municipality of Hainfeld and is known for its strong, internationally competitive red wines as well as its white Burgundy wines, which inspire with their elegance. The favourable climatic conditions that prevail here in the Southern Palatinate contribute to the individuality and quality of the wines produced here, as do the multifaceted terroir of the vineyard and the passion that the Lergenmüller family of winegrowers put into their work.
The white wines of Lergenmüller estate are grown on 80 hectares of vineyards with over 200 plots in the best southern Palatinate locations. Pinot Gris, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Scheurebe, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc are cultivated due to the climate and soil conditions. Most of the wines are aged dry. But also noble sweet wines are offered in small quantities.
Lergenmüller's red wines also grow in the southern Palatinate. The vines are cultivated manually and only healthy, fully ripe grapes are harvested. These are then gently pressed to ensure the integrity of the grape seeds. After maceration, the red wines are usually aged in oak barrels for 2 years and then in bottles until they have reached their final maturity and excellent taste.
