A lot of effort for the top wines

Red grape varieties such as Zweigelt, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon thrive on about two-thirds of the winery's vineyards. But also Grüner Veltliner and Sauvignon Blanc, which are popular in Austria, show excellent growth and high quality on the vineyards of the winery. Moreover, the company buys a selected share from special contract vintners. The Markowitsch winery has been successful in this endeavor. It is regarded in the region as the great role model for regional viticulture and offers with its wines a source of inspiration for many young winemakers.
