Weingut Peter Lauer

The renowned winery Peter Lauer on the Saar has made the big leap into the Association of German Prädikatsweingüter, short VDP, and may welcome since January 1, 2013 there.

Father Peter and son Florian manage the family vineyard that was founded in 1830, which is dedicated exclusively to the production of characterful Riesling wines.

All the wines are spontaneously fermented, stored for a long time in the feed on the lees and stirred from time to time. This gives them a creamy, juicy fullness.

On the labels, in addition to the barrel numbers, the parcels are listed, because the wines are parcel-clear expanded from various parcels of the famous location Ayler Kupp. In some parcels, the vines have an age of over 100 years.

Particular attention is paid to the racy, fine-dry Rieslings with noticeable residual sugar content. Stylish wines with elegance, not too rich in alcohol but with depth and density.
