In the glass, the Chardonnay Classic from Weingut Wieninger presents a brilliant shimmering golden yellow color. This single-varietal Austrian wine presents wonderfully expressive notes of lime, mulberry, blackberry and kumquat in the glass. It is joined by hints of garrigue, lovage and juniper.
This dry white wine from Weingut Wieninger is ideal for purists who would prefer 0.0 grams of residual sugar in their wine. The Chardonnay Classic already comes very close to this, as it was vinified with just 1 gram of residual sugar. Light-footed and multifaceted, this crisp and velvety white wine presents itself on the palate. Due to its concise fruit acidity, the Chardonnay Classic is impressively fresh and lively on the palate. The finish of this white wine from the wine-growing region of Vienna, which is capable of aging, finally thrills with a beautiful reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the soils dominated by limestone and loess.
Vinification of the Chardonnay Classic from Wieninger Winery
The basis for the elegant Chardonnay Classic from Vienna are grapes from the Chardonnay grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Vienna. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of sand, limestone and loess. After manual harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks and large wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months in barrique and large oak barrels.

Drink this white wine from Austria ideally well chilled at 8 - 10°C as an accompanying wine to wok vegetables with fish, omelet with salmon and fennel or spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto.
