A look into the past

In 1794 Johann Steffen started viticulture in Trittenheim. He could only do this with the help of his family. Many years passed and then in the 1910s the first bottling was done. The Second World War put a brake on the family winery and the first decades later, in 1945, it was time to rebuild the business. The brothers Johann and Peter Steffen were helped in this by the winery's motto: "The family is the centre of attention". And together they laid the foundation stone for the family business Gebrüder Steffen.

Now a look at the present

In addition to the wines of the Middle Moselle, the Weinhaus Gebrüder Steffen also vinifies and markets selected wines from the surrounding growing regions. The father-son team Hans and Roman Steffen are currently working hand in hand on the future of the wine house. Together they visit the surrounding villages and exchange ideas with grape producers. Father and son can also be found in the vineyard.

Using the modern

Thanks to modern analysis methods in the winemaking process, the Gebrüder Steffen are able to produce top quality wines. The air-conditioned wine cellars also contribute to the high quality of the wines. But of course, the Weinhaus Gebrüder Steffen does not rely on modernity alone. The art of the cellar master also contributes to the production of wines of the highest quality.
