More information
The Weinolsheimer Kehr Riesling TBA from the wine-growing region of Rhine-Hesse offers itself in the glass in brilliantly shimmering light yellow. The color of this white wine also shows reflections in the core. If you give it some air by swirling, this dessert wine is characterized by an immense lightness that makes it dance nimbly in the glass. The first nose of the Weinolsheimer Kehr Riesling TBA reveals notes of mirabelle plums, plum marshmallows and peaches. The fruity hints of the bouquet are joined by more fruity-balsamic nuances.
On the tongue, this light-bodied dessert wine is characterized by a tremendously creamy texture. The finish of this well-maturing dessert wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen, more precisely from Weinolsheim, finally convinces with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral hints of the soils dominated by marl and limestone.
Vinification of the Weinolsheimer Kehr Riesling TBA from Manz Winery
This elegant dessert wine from Germany is vinified from the Riesling grape variety. In Rheinhessen, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone and marl. The fact that the Riesling grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate also has a considerable influence on the ripening of the grapes. This results, among other things, in particularly long and even grapes and rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. After the harvest, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Weinolsheimer Kehr Riesling TBA can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months....
