More information

The Pinot Blanc from Glatzer of Lower Austria shows a brilliant, light yellow color in the wine glass. To the nose, this Glatzer white wine shows all sorts of apricots, peaches, nashi pear, apples and vineyard peach. As if that wasn't already impressive, the stainless steel aging adds creamy sweetness, sun-warmed rock and yeast plait.

The Glatzer Pinot Blanc presents itself wonderfully dry to the wine lover. This white wine never appears coarse or meager, but round and smooth. On the palate, the texture of this light-footed white wine is wonderfully crisp. In the finish, this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of pear and quince. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by sand and clay join in.

Vinification of the Pinot Blanc from Glatzer

This elegant Pinot Blanc from Austria is a single varietal wine, vinified from the Pinot Blanc grape variety. In Lower Austria, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay and sand. The grapes for this white wine from Austria, when perfectly ripe, are harvested exclusively by hand . After harvesting, the grapes immediately reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully ground. Then fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Pinot Blanc can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months....

Food recommendation for the Pinot Blanc from Glatzer

This Austrian white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to cabbage roulades, spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto or vegetable salad with beetroot.
