The light-footed Pinot Blanc Liter from Weingut Manz enters the glass with a brilliant light yellow color. To the nose, this Weingut Manz white wine presents all sorts of mirabelles, nashi pear, pears, quinces and nectarines. As if that wasn't already impressive, the stainless steel aging adds more aromas like lovage, green peppers and garrigue.
On the palate, Weingut Manz's Pinot Blanc Liter opens wonderfully aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. There are dry and really dry. This white wine belongs to the latter group, as it was bottled with only 0.5 grams of residual sugar. On the tongue, this light-footed white wine is characterized by an immensely melting texture. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Pinot Blanc liter flatters with velvety palate feeling, without lacking freshness at the same time. In the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen finally inspires with good length. Once again, hints of mirabelle plum and nashi pear are evident. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and marl are added.
Vinification of the Pinot Blanc Liter from Manz Winery
The elegant Pinot Blanc Liter from Germany is a single-varietal wine, pressed from the Pinot Blanc grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Rheinhessen. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of clay and marl. After manual harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Pinot Blanc liter can continue to harmonize for several months on the fine yeast.
