More information about Weißburgunder trocken - Domäne Bergstraße - Kloster Eberbach

The Pinot Blanc from the Hessische Bergstrasse wine-growing region presents itself in the glass in brilliantly shimmering light yellow. The nose of this Kloster Eberbach white wine reveals all sorts of apricots, mirabelles, papayas, mangos and nectarines. As if that weren't already impressive, the stainless steel aging adds toasted almond, roasted hazelnut and whole-nut chocolate.

This dry white wine from Kloster Eberbach is something for wine drinkers who prefer to drink bone dry. On the palate, the texture of this light-bodied white wine is wonderfully creamy. The final of this white wine from the wine-growing region of Hessische Bergstrasse finally impresses with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the soils dominated by clay and loess.

Vinification of the Pinot Blanc from Kloster Eberbach

The basis for the elegant Pinot Blanc from Hessische Bergstrasse are grapes from the grape variety Pinot Blanc. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Hessian Bergstrasse. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of loam and loess. After the hand harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for the Pinot Blanc from Kloster Eberbach

This German white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to omelet with salmon and fennel, coconut-lime fish curry or fruity endive salad.
