The Pinot Blanc RÉSERVE from Weingut Manz in Rheinhessen shows a bright, light yellow color in the wine glass. Swiveling the glass, one can perceive a perfect balance in this white wine, as it stands out on the glass walls neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like. This single varietal German wine shows wonderfully expressive notes of peaches, nectarines, mirabelles and vineyard peach in the glass. These are joined by hints of sun-warmed rock and forest floor.
This dry white wine from Weingut Manz is perfect for wine lovers who prefer to drink bone dry. The Pinot Blanc RÉSERVE already comes very close to this, as it was pressed with just 6.1 grams of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully creamy. Due to its lively fruit acidity, the Pinot Blanc RÉSERVE presents itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of peach and apricot. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by loess are added.
Vinification of the Pinot Blanc RÉSERVE from Manz Winery
The balanced Pinot Blanc RÉSERVE from Germany is a single varietal wine made from the Pinot Blanc grape variety. In Rheinhessen, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of loess. The ripeness of the grapes for this wine made from Pinot Blanc is influenced to a very high degree by the climate of the growing region. In Rheinhessen, the grapes thrive in a rather cool climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly long and uniform grapes and a rather moderate must weight. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months in 500 l oak barrels.
Food recommendation for the winery Manz Pinot Blanc RÉSERVE
