With the Van Volxem Pinot Blanc, a first-class white wine comes into the swirling glass. Here it offers a wonderfully brilliant, pale yellow color. The first nose of the Pinot Blanc flatters with jasmine, gallia melon and lime. The fruity parts of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging like even more fruity-balsamic nuances.
On the palate, Van Volxem's Pinot Blanc starts wonderfully aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Pinot Blanc flatters the palate with a velvety feel, without lacking juicy liveliness. On the finish, this youthful from the Saar winegrowing region finally delights with good length. There are again hints of honeysuckle and papaya. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by silicate rock and slate join in.
Vinification of the Pinot Blanc from Van Volxem
This elegant Pinot Blanc from Germany is a single varietal wine, made from the Riesling grape variety. In the Saar region, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of slate and silicate rock. The berries for this white wine from Germany, when perfectly ripe, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the hand harvest, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in large wood at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Pinot Blanc is aged for several months in oak barrels.
