The Wien.1 Vienna from Weingut Pfaffl in Lower Austria reveals a brilliant platinum yellow color in the wine glass. This Austrian cuvée presents wonderfully expressive notes of lime, apricot, nashi pear and cherry blossom in the glass. These are joined by hints of black tea, cinnamon and dark chocolate.
On the palate, the Wien.1 Vienna from Weingut Pfaffl opens pleasantly aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Wien.1 Vienna reveals itself to be fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. The final of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria finally captivates with beautiful reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral hints of the limestone and sandstone dominated soils.
Vinification of the winery Pfaffl Wien.1 Vienna
The starting point for the first-class and wonderfully elegant cuvée Wien.1 Vienna of Weingut Pfaffl are Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc and Riesling grapes. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Lower Austria. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of limestone and sandstone. After the hand harvest, the grapes quickly reach the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully milled. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by a few months of aging on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.
