The Mayer am Pfarrplatz Wiener Gemischter Satz presents itself pleasantly dry to the wine drinker. This white wine never appears coarse or meager, but round and smooth. On the palate, the texture of this light-footed white wine is wonderfully crisp. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Viennese Gemischter Satz is fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Vienna finally inspires with good length. There are again hints of grapefruit and pink grapefruit. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by marl and limestone join in. In Vienna, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone and marl. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly transferred to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
