Winkl Sauvignon Blanc Alto Adige Terlaner DOC 2019 - Cantina Terlan
The Winkl Sauvignon Alto Adige/Südtiroler Terlan DOC from Cantina Terlan shines in an intense straw yellow with a delicate green shimmer in the glass. The bouquet is very fruity with aromas of apricots, mandarins and passion fruit, accompanied by elderflower, nettle and mint.
The fruity impression can also be appreciated on the palate and is accompanied by a fine acidity, full-bodied and tasty. This South Tyrolean white wine is particularly convincing due to its elegant texture. The long finish is characterized by a mineral and at the same time aromatic aftertaste.
Vinification of Winkl Sauvignon Alto Adige Terlan DOC from Cantina Terlan
This pure Sauvignon Blanc has been successfully cultivated and vinified in the DOC wine-growing region around Terlan since 1956.
The grapes are harvested and selected by hand, the pressing of the whole grapes is followed by a natural clarification of the must by decantation. The must is then fermented slowly and temperature-controlled in stainless steel tanks, then matured for 5 to 7 months on the fine yeasts, 80% in stainless steel tanks, 20% in large wooden barrels, the cuvée of the two wines is formed one month before bottling.
