More information about Yarden Pinot Noir - Golan Heights Winery
The Yarden Pinot Noir from Golan Heights Winery is an aromatic, varietal and elegant red wine from the Golan / Galilee wine region.
In the glass, this red wine has a shimmering cherry red color with ruby highlights. The nose initially reveals a very fruity bouquet - ranging from raspberries, strawberries and mulberries to sour cherries and ripe plums. Gradually, floral notes of violets, spicy hints and a fine touch of French oak present themselves. On the palate, this red wine has a medium body supported by a velvety dense texture. The finish awaits with a pleasant length.
Yarden is the leading brand of Golan Heights Winery under which the annual flagship wines from the best grapes of the best sites are marketed. Yarden, moreover, is the Hebrew name for the Jordan River, which separates the Golan Heights and Galilee. The label depicts a symbol from ancient Israel - an oil lamp decorated with mosaic tiles.
Vinification of the Golan Heights Winery Yarden Pinot Noir
The Pinot Noir grapes grow in the northern, cool Golan Heights.
Once the harvest arrives at the Golan Heights Winery winery, the grapes are gently pressed. The resulting mash is then fermented in stainless steel tanks. Once the fermentation process is complete, this red wine rounds out harmoniously for 16 months in French oak barrels (primarily new wood).
