More information
The first nose of the Ripassa Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore Magnum reveals blueberries, black cherries and blackberries. The fruity aspects of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel ageing and even more fruity, balsamic nuances.
With its pleasantly dosed residual sweetness of 7.5 grams per liter, the Ripassa Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore Magnum flatters the palate and delights with its round and harmonious texture. This wine delights with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with just 7.5 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine of this renown, this Italian naturally delights with the finest balance despite its dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need a lot of sugar. This velvety and dense red wine is full-bodied and complex on the palate. On the finish, this red wine from the Veneto wine-growing region impresses with its considerable length. Once again, there are hints of blackcurrant and blueberry. In the finish, mineral notes from the limestone and clay-dominated soils are added.
Vinification of the Zenato Ripassa Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore Magnum
This powerful red wine from Italy is made from the Corvina, Oseleta and Rondinella grape varieties. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Veneto. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into clay and limestone soils. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation in small wooden vats at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation for 30 months in oak barrels. The maturation in oak barrels is followed by a long period of ageing in the bottle, which makes this red wine even more complex.
Recommendation for Zenato Ripassa Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore Magnum
