Vinification of Villscheider Zweigelt
The balanced Zweigelt from Italy is a single-varietal wine, pressed from the Zweigelt grape variety. The grapes grow in optimal conditions in Trentino-Alto Adige. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of limestone. After harvesting, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
Supper recommendation for Villscheider Zweigelt
This Italian red wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to lamb stew with chickpeas and dried figs, roasted calf's liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce or veal boiled beef with beans and tomatoes.
