A. Diehl - wines of strong character from the Southern Palatinate
Andreas and Alexandra-Isabell Diehl, true Palatinate cheerful characters, cultivate their vineyards in Edesheim on the southern wine route in one of the warmest climatic regions of Germany. Here, where Mediterranean temperatures now prevail for most of the year, they even grow figs, kiwis, lemons and, finally, wine, which is notable for this climate. Here, the Diehl family works with dedication to ensure that the enormous temperament of the grapes can develop gently in the wine.
Andreas Diel explains the winery's moto
"Real guys are the goal of our work. The grapes should be reflected in the wine, tell their own story. Like our philosophy of life, our wines are authentic and expressive, full of flavour and harmonious body.
"Eins zu Eins" - the most popular wines of the A. Diehl Winery
The Eins zu Eins wines of A. Diehl are made with varietal purity and this is reflected in the categorisation of the wines. "Eins zu eins" stands for a balanced relationship between grape variety and ageing. "For these wines it is crucial to acquire one's individual wine style and to constantly perfect it. Because only then can one's own creation be unmistakably appreciated. Each wine contains the full flavour of the labelled grape variety. From the vineyard to the bottle, they are natural and authentic" says Andreas Diehl.
For their wines, the Diehls can draw on a considerable portfolio of grape varieties, which is not unusual in the Palatinate. Cultivated all around Edesheim up to the Palatinate Forest
