More information about Martin Schmidt Rivaner Riesling feinherb - Weingut Kiefer

The Martin Schmidt Rivaner Riesling from the Baden wine-growing region reveals itself in the glass in a brilliantly shimmering light yellow. The bouquet of this white wine from Baden captivates with nuances of ripe apple, green apple, lemon and peach. It is precisely its fruit-driven nature that makes this wine so special.

The light-footed Weingut Kiefer Martin Schmidt Rivaner Riesling shows us an incredibly fruit-driven taste on the palate, which is not least due to its residual sweet taste profile. This light white wine is light-footed and multi-layered on the palate. The Martin Schmidt Rivaner Riesling presents itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate thanks to its concise fruit acidity. The finish of this white wine from the wine-growing region of Baden, more precisely from Kaiserstuhl, is convincing with a good aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the soils dominated by loess soil and volcanic rock.

Vinification of the Martin Schmidt Rivaner Riesling from Weingut Kiefer

This elegant white wine from Germany is made from the Müller-Thurgau and Riesling grape varieties. The vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on loess soil and volcanic rock in Baden. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, the Martin Schmidt Rivaner Riesling can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.

Dining recommendations for Weingut Kiefer Martin Schmidt Rivaner Riesling

This German white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to coconut-lime fish curry, roast trout with ginger pear or cabbage roulades
