More information about Chardonnay Zellertal trocken - Schwedhelm Zellertal
The Chardonnay Zellertal from the wine-growing region of Palatinate appears in the glass in brilliant shimmering golden yellow. Ideally poured into a white wine glass, this white wine from the Old World shows wonderfully expressive aromas of apple, quince, pear and nashi pear, rounded off by forest floor and sun-warmed rock.
This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 4.3 grams of residual sugar. As you would naturally expect from a wine in the upper price range, this German wine naturally enraptures with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily need a lot of residual sugar. On the tongue, this light-footed white wine is characterized by an incredibly light texture. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Chardonnay Zellertal is wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region of Palatinate finally inspires with good length. Once again, hints of quince and nashi pear appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the limestone and clay dominated soils join in.
Vinification of the Schwedhelm Zellertal Chardonnay Zellertal
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Chardonnay. Only the best grapes were used for this exceptionally elegant varietal wine from Schwedhelm Zellertal. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Palatinate. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.
