More information about Herrenbuck Sauvignon Blanc - Weingut Kiefer
The Herrenbuck Sauvignon Blanc from the wine-growing region of Baden presents itself in the glass in bright light yellow. This single-varietal German wine reveals wonderfully expressive notes of gooseberries, limes, kumquats and grapefruits in the glass. It is joined by hints of lovage, Mediterranean herbs and forest floor.
This dry white wine from Weingut Kiefer is ideal for people who prefer to drink bone dry. The Herrenbuck Sauvignon Blanc already comes quite close to this, as it was vinified with just 1.9 grams of residual sugar. Due to its lively fruit acidity, the Herrenbuck Sauvignon Blanc presents itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate.
Vinification of the Weingut Kiefer Herrenbuck Sauvignon Blanc
The basis for the balanced Herrenbuck Sauvignon Blanc from Baden are grapes from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Baden. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of limestone, loess soil and volcanic rock. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully milled. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by a few months of aging on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
