The Rivera Primitivo Salento presents itself to the connoisseur as pleasantly dry. This red wine is never coarse or austere, but round and smooth. The finish of this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of Apulia, or more precisely from Salento IGT, is convincing with a beautiful aftertaste.

Vinification of the Primitivo Salento from Rivera

This red wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Primitivo. Only first-class grapes were harvested for this exceptionally powerful single-varietal wine from Rivera. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, the Primitivo Salento can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for several months.

Recommendation for Rivera Primitivo Salento

Ideally, drink this red wine from Italy at a temperature of 15 - 18°C with vegetable couscous with beef meatballs, boeuf bourguignon or veal boiled beef with beans and tomatoes.
