More information about Pinot Grigio Südtirol DOC - Peter Zemmer
The Zemmer Pinot Grigio from the Alto Adige wine-growing region offers a bright copper-gold color in the glass, complemented by greenish-yellow reflections. Ideally poured into a white wine glass, this white wine from Italy reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of apple, melon and pear, rounded off with Mediterranean herbs and flowers.
This Italian wine impresses with its elegantly dry taste and was bottled with just 3.6 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine, this Italian naturally delights with the finest balance despite its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily need a lot of residual sugar.
On the palate, the texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully light. Thanks to its balanced fruit acidity, the Peter Zemmer Pinot Grigio Alto Adige has a soft mouthfeel without lacking any juicy liveliness. On the finish, this storable white wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige wine-growing region finally delights with good length. Once again, there are hints of melon and Nashi pear.
Vinification of the Peter Zemmer Pinot Grigio Alto Adige
This balanced white wine from Italy is made from the Pinot Gris grape variety. In Alto Adige, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of sedimentary and weathered rock. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are transported to the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. After a short maceration period, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Pinot Grigio from Zemmer can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.
Dining recommendations for the Pinot Grigio Alto Adige from Peter Zemmer
This white wine from Italy is best enjoyed moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C as an accompaniment to vegetable salad with beetroot or Thai cucumber salad.
