More information about Margaux de Brane AOP - Château Brane-Cantenac

In the glass, the Margaux de Brane from Château Brane-Cantenac offers a dense purple color. At the edge, this French red also shows a transition to garnet red. When swirling the glass, this red wine reveals a high density and richness, which is evident in distinct church windows at the rim of the glass. Poured into a Bordeaux glass, this red wine from the Old World offers wonderfully expressive aromas of red currant, strawberry and raspberry, rounded off by further fruity nuances contributed by aging in wooden barrels.

The Château Brane-Cantenac Margaux de Brane presents itself to the connoisseur wonderfully dry. This red wine is never coarse or meager, as one might expect from a top wine. This velvety red wine is full-bodied and multi-layered on the palate. Through its concise fruit acidity, the Margaux de Brane reveals itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. The finale of this mature red wine from the wine-growing region of Bordeaux, more precisely from Margaux, finally convinces with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral hints of the gravel-dominated soils.

Vinification of the Margaux de Brane from Château Brane-Cantenac

The powerful Margaux de Brane from France is a cuvée, made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Bordeaux. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of gravel. Obviously, Margaux de Brane is also determined by climate and viticultural style Margaux. This French wine can be called an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, and it is exceptionally impressive. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for Margaux de Brane are harvested exclusively by hand without the use of punishing and less selective full harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. After its end, the powerful Margaux de Brane is aged for another 12 months in oak barrels.

Food recommendation for Château Brane-Cantenac Margaux de Brane

This red wine from France is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to potato pan with salmon, pumpkin casserole or vegetable couscous with beef meatballs.
