Let's get Barefoot
The winemaker Davis Bynum founded his winery Barefoot Bynum Burgundy in 1965 - the company headquarters: his garage. The unconventional name Barefoot comes from the fact that Davis likes to stomp his grapes with his foot.
In 1986 the business really took off. Visionaries and entrepreneurs Michael Houlihan and Bonnie Harvey took the helm, renamed the winery Barefoot Cellars and designed (the now distinctive) Footprint logo.
The winemaker - Pinky Toe
The Barefoot Team loves to make puns around feet and so the winemaker Jennifer Wall got her nickname Pinky Toe. Jen is one of the most awarded winemakers in the world and has been with Barefoot since 1995. She is the driving force behind the continuous expansion of the Barefoot wine portfolio with her creativity and unerring intuition.
A colourful wine assortment
Barefoot shows colour and each grape variety gets its own. Wines from the following varieties are vinified:
- Cabernet Sauvignon
White grape varieties:
- Pinot Grigio
In addition to the wines, Barefoot is also committed to supporting people and good causes. The first Barefoot ambassador (also called "Barefooter") came in 1990 through Randy Arnold and steered the commitment into professional channels. To this day, Barefooter represents the company worldwide and helps Barefoot give something back - by supporting charities, local events and non-profit partnerships.
