This red wine from Niepoort is ideal for people who like it absolutely dry. The OmLet Tinto comes very close to this, as it was vinified with just 2.1 grams of residual sugar. This silky and dense red wine is balanced and multi-layered on the palate. Thanks to the balanced fruit acidity, the OmLet Tinto flatters the palate with a velvety sensation without lacking in juicy liveliness. On the finish, this very storable wine from the Douro & Porto wine-growing region finally delights with its beautiful length. Once again, there are hints of blackberry.

Vinification of the OmLet Tinto from Niepoort

The balanced OmLet Tinto from Portugal is a cuvée made from the Alicante Bouschet, Tempranillo and Touriga Franca grape varieties. After the grape harvest, the grapes are transported to the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

This red wine from Portugal is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C with vegetable couscous with beef rissoles, braised chicken in red wine or rocket penne.
