This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 4.3 grams of residual sugar. Aroma does not necessarily require a lot of sugar. On the palate, the texture of this fleet-footed white wine is wonderfully light. Due to its lively fruit acidity, the Oude Kaap Chenin Blanc presents itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. On the finish, this white wine from the Coastal winegrowing region finally thrills with good length. Again, hints of grapefruit and pink grapefruit appear.

Vinification of the Oude Kaap Chenin Blanc from DGB

The elegant Oude Kaap Chenin Blanc from South Africa is a single varietal wine, vinified from the Chenin Blanc grape variety. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Then the fermentation takes place in controlled temperatures. 

Food recommendation for the Oude Kaap Chenin Blanc from DGB

This white wine from South Africa is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to asparagus salad with quinoa, cod with cucumber mustard vegetables or wok vegetables with fish.
