From the grape varieties Bical, Encruzado and Malvasia is vinified the multilayered, voluminous and lively white wine cuvee Conciso Branco Dao of Niepoort.
In a sparkling lemon yellow, this wine presents itself in the glass. The multi-layered aromatics of the fine bouquet reveal notes of spice, subtle vegetation, aromatic herbs and juicy white fruits - underpinned by a light barriquetone. On the palate, this Portuguese white wine gives itself with plenty of bite and a voluminous body. The lively acid structure accompanies into the long, fresh finish.
Vinification of the Niepoort Dao Conciso Branco Quinta da Lomba
The grapes for this white wine grow on granite soils in the Portuguese wine-growing region DOC Dão.
The grapes are harvested by hand and immediately brought to Quinta da Lomba's winery. There, the grapes are fermented at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. This wine is then aged for 20 months in used barriques (capacity 500 liters).
