The Primitivo from Terre di Campo Sasso shines a deep dark red in the glass. The dry Italian is extremely lush with aromas of cherries and dark berries. The acidity and tannins are gripping, yet beautifully balanced by the deep fruitiness and great richness. The Terre di Campo Sasso Primitivo has a powerful and velvety finish. An extremely pleasing companion with ageing potential.
Vinification of the Primitivo from Apulia by Terre di Campo Sasso
The grapes are harvested selectively and fermented on the skins at controlled temperatures between 24°C and 26°C for around 8 days. The zinfandel is matured in barriques for 6 months.
