More information about Cellar Selection Chardonnay - Sileni Estates
The Cellar Selection Chardonnay from Sileni Estates in New Zealand's Hawke's Bay wine region is a varietally pure, fruit-driven and finesse-rich white wine.
In the glass, this wine glows a bright straw yellow. A wonderful aromatic potpourri of stone fruit, tropical fruit (honeydew melon), citrus and a hint of oak enchants the nose. On the palate, this Australian white wine presents itself wonderfully balanced and offers a wonderful drinking experience. The fine acidity is very well integrated and provides length and balance. The appealing finish impresses with a hearty, long reverberation.
Vinification of the Sileni Cellar Selection Chardonnay
At optimal ripeness, the Chardonnay grapes are harvested and brought to the winery of Sileni Estates. There, the grapes are first destemmed and gently pressed. At low temperature, the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks. Half of this white wine undergoes malolactic fermentation. A small part is aged in French oak barrels.
