More information about Chardonnay & Weißburgunder - Knipser
The Knipsers also know that the family of Burgundy grape varieties makes a variety of characteristics stronger in the collective. So also these two protagonists - Chardonnay & Pinot Blanc from Knipser - which originate from the same nursery but nevertheless take their own paths in terms of character.
While the Chardonnay is considered the best white wine grape variety in the world, the Pinot Blanc is only known in our latitudes as a high quality. Both together result in a wonderfully harmonious wine, which combines elegant drinking flow but also smacky melting in equal measure. The Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc from Knipser is a wonderfully dry Palatinate white wine, which is rarely found. In a yellow dress with greenish reflections, this German wine beams at you with juicy aromas of ripe local fruit, such as pear or fresh plum.
Vinification of Knipser Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc
Both grape varieties of the cuvée already grow together in the vineyard, which in fact corresponds to a classic Gemischter Satz. The grapes of both varieties are harvested by hand and fermented together temperature-controlled in stainless steel tanks.
