More information about Chenin Blanc & Pinotage Rosé - Simonsig
With the Simonsig Chenin Blanc & Pinotage Rosé, a first-class rosé wine comes into the swirled glass. In this it shows a wonderfully bright, platinum yellow color. This South African cuvée reveals wonderfully youthful notes of blueberry, mango, gallia melon and physalis in the glass. These are joined by hints of other fruits.
This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 3.3 grams of residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this South African naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need a lot of residual sugar. On the tongue, this balanced rosé wine is characterized by an incredibly light texture. With its present fruit acidity, the Chenin Blanc & Pinotage Rosé is impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this youthful rosé wine from the Coastal winegrowing region finally inspires with good length. Once again, hints of star fruit and Gallia melon show through.
Vinification of the Simonsig Chenin Blanc & Pinotage Rosé
The basis for the balanced Chenin Blanc & Pinotage Rosé from Coastal Region are grapes from the Chenin Blanc and Pinotage varieties. After the grape harvest, the grapes reach the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Chenin Blanc & Pinotage Rosé can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months...
