More information about Chez Jau Sauvignon Blanc - Château de Jau

The Château de Jau Chez Jau Sauvignon Blanc is a first-class white wine in the glass. In this it shows a wonderfully brilliant, light yellow color. This varietal French wine presents in the glass wonderfully expressive notes of kumquats, pomelo, acacia and white currants. These are joined by hints of juniper, garrigue and lovage.

The Château de Jau Chez Jau Sauvignon Blanc presents itself wonderfully dry to the wine lover. This white wine never shows itself coarse or meager, but round and smooth. On the palate, the texture of this light-footed white wine is wonderfully melting and creamy. The final of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Roussillon finally impresses with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the soils dominated by slate and clay.

Vinification of the Château de Jau Chez Jau Sauvignon Blanc

This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, Sauvignon Blanc. Only the best grapes were harvested for this wonderfully elegant single-varietal wine from Château de Jau. In Roussillon, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay, limestone and slate. After the hand harvest, the grapes quickly reach the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.

Food recommendation for Château de Jau Chez Jau Sauvignon Blanc

This French wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as a companion to fruity endive salad, roasted trout with ginger pear or stir-fried vegetables with fish.
