More information about Leiwener Riesling feinherb - Josef Rosch

The Leiwener Riesling from the Moselle wine-growing region presents itself in the glass in brilliantly shimmering light yellow. The first nose of Leiwener Riesling shows notes of peaches, vineyard peach and pears. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by cocoa bean, black tea and dark chocolate.

Leiwener Riesling can be described as exceptionally fruity and velvety, having been vinified with a pleasantly sweet flavor profile. Due to its lively fruit acidity, Leiwener Riesling is wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate.

Vinification of the Leiwener Riesling by Josef Rosch

The basis for the elegant Leiwener Riesling from Mosel are grapes from the Riesling grape variety. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for Leiwener Riesling are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective full harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.

Food recommendation for the Josef Rosch Leiwener Riesling

This German wine is best enjoyed moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to asparagus salad with quinoa, veal and onion casserole or roasted trout with ginger pear.
