More information about Pinot Noir Marlborough - Mahi
The Pinot Noir Marlborough from Mahi of New Zealand's South Island offers a bright, light red color in the wine glass. The bouquet of this red wine from New Zealand's South Island delights with aromas of plum. If we trace the aroma further, black cherry and cloves are added, promoted by the oak influence.
The Mahi Pinot Noir Marlborough presents itself to the connoisseur wonderfully dry. This red wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. On the tongue, this balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety and dense texture. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Pinot Noir Marlborough flatters the palate with a pleasing feel, without at the same time lacking in juicy liveliness. The finale of this red wine from the wine-growing region of New Zealand South Island, more precisely from Marlborough, which is capable of aging well, finally convinces with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the clay-dominated soils.
Vinification of the Pinot Noir Marlborough from Mahi
The balanced Pinot Noir Marlborough from New Zealand is a single-varietal wine, pressed from the Pinot Noir grape variety. On New Zealand's South Island, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay. When they are perfectly ripe, the grapes for Pinot Noir Marlborough are harvested exclusively by hand without the use of coarse and less selective machines. After the harvest, the grapes arrive at the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months in French oak barriques.
