In the glass, the Viura Rioja of Beronia shows a brilliant shimmering pale yellow color. The first nose of Viura Rioja reveals notes of physalis, grapefruits and guavas. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by more fruity-balsamic nuances.
The Beronia Viura Rioja delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 1.6 grams of residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Spaniard enchants naturally with all dryness with the finest balance. Excellent taste does not necessarily require a lot of sugar. On the tongue, this light-footed white wine is characterized by an incredibly crisp texture. Due to the moderate fruit acidity, the Viura Rioja flatters with a soft mouthfeel, without lacking juicy liveliness. In the finish, this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of La Rioja finally inspires with considerable length. Again, hints of orange and grapefruit appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and limestone are added.
Vinification of the Viura Rioja from Beronia
The basis for the elegant Viura Rioja from La Rioja are grapes from the Viura grape variety. In La Rioja, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay and limestone. After the hand harvest, the grapes arrive at the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.
Food recommendation for Beronia Viura Rioja
This Spanish white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to stir-fried vegetables with fish, omelet with salmon and fennel or spaghetti with caper and tomato sauce.
