More information about Weisser Burgunder 1,0 l - Freiherr von Gleichenstein
The Weisser Burgunder from the Baden wine-growing region reveals itself in the glass in a bright light yellow. Poured into a white wine glass, this white wine from Germany reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of green apple and peach, rounded off by other fruity nuances.
This wine delights with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with just 1 gram of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine, this German wine naturally delights with the finest balance despite its dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need sugar. This crisp white wine is balanced and multi-layered on the palate. Thanks to its vital fruit acidity, Weisser Burgunder is wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. On the finish, this wine from the Baden wine-growing region finally impresses with good length. There are again hints of peach and green apple. In the finish, mineral notes of the loess-dominated soil are added.
Vinification of the Freiherr von Gleichenstein Weisser Burgunder
The balanced Weisser Burgunder from Germany is a single-varietal wine made from the Pinot Blanc grape variety. The vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on loess soils in Baden. After harvesting, the grapes are transported to the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Pinot Blanc can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.
