More information about Côte des Roses Chardonnay - Gérard Bertrand
Côte des Roses Blanc, from the Languedoc's Gérard Bertrand, offers a bright golden yellow color in the swirled glass. This varietal French wine flatters in the glass wonderfully expressive notes of apple, pink grapefruit, violet and lemon. These are joined by hints of other fruits.
This white from Gérard Bertrand is ideal for all connoisseurs who like as little residual sugar in the wine as possible. However, it is never sparse or brittle, but round and smooth. On the tongue, this balanced white wine is characterized by an incredibly crisp texture. The finale of this ripe white wine from the Languedoc wine region finally thrills with good reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral hints of the soils dominated by slate and limestone.
Vinification of the Côte des Roses Blanc by Gérard Bertrand
The basis for the balanced Côte des Roses Blanc from the Languedoc are grapes from the Chardonnay variety. In the Languedoc, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone and slate. Due to the moderating influence of the nearbyRiver, the grapes ripen more slowly and more aromatic partiality. After the manual harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Côte des Roses Blanc can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months....
Food recommendation for the Côte des Roses Blanc by Gérard Bertrand
This French wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to chickpea curry, leek soup or roasted trout with ginger pear.
